Acoustik Musik, Ltd. is looking for a someone to do our Ebay sales. We are located near Prospect Elementary on West College Street in Oberlin.

Basic Description:

  • 20-hours/week (very flexible schedule)
  • $10/hour
  • Must have valid Driver's License
  • Vehicle for deliveries available
  • Training Available

Job Specifications:

  • Photograph Items to be sold
  • Store away items and put them in the Database
  • Create a Listing on Ebay with competitive pricing
  • Update old listings to compete with similar products
  • Correspond with customers though Ebay mail
  • Package sold items, and drop them off for shipping
  • Driving for other errands

Ideal Applicant Skills:

  • Ebay/Amazon listing and/or purchasing experience
  • Mac literacy
  • Punctuality
  • Takes initiative and offers input
  • Ability to multitask

This is a part-time job and you will be paid as a 1099 Independent contractor. We have been committed to mentoring students into professionals for 23 years. Some previous interns have gone on to work in professional movie studios on the west coast or open their own studios.

Shared_Studios Oberlin Campus Portal Curator

We are looking for a Portal Curator to facilitate Portal connections running from September-November 2018.

Portal Curators are the glue that hold our global network together. They staff each Portal, engage local communities, program special events, and occasionally provide language interpretation too.

The Portal Curator is the public face of our community. We are looking for a curator to work at our Portal location on Oberlin's campus.

Responsibilities: Operate the Portal, including opening and closing the Portal, mastering technology and troubleshooting, ushering individuals into and out of the Portal every 20 or 30-minutes, talking to passersby, and explaining the Portals initiative.

Program Dialogues & Events, including coordinating and scheduling special events, artist collaborations, classroom visits, and performances, and overseeing backend scheduling software.

Outreach in the Community, including emailing and calling local organizations, liaising with press organizations, coordinating videographers and social media elements, and occasionally shooting iPhone video.

Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds.

Attention to detail, particularly around scheduling and logistics.

Responsible, results-oriented, and self-motivated.

Flexible schedule since we work across various time zones: sometimes the Portal will be open very early in the day or late in the evening.

Comfort with computers, VOIP systems, and social media appreciated.

Yard work needed - $25 job

I need someone to lay a small amount of mulch and cut down some ornamental grasses for me.

English Language Assistant **PAID** Internship Spain

Job description PROGRAMA AC participants will practice as English language assistants in primary and secondary schools in Spain, mostly with children aged 3 to 18. It is a good opportunity for all participants to enhance personal growth and live a vibrant experience learning Spanish language and culture. This internship is open to undergraduate and recent graduate students. We offer our programme as a valuable option to be thoroughly considered. Participants will learn new skills and gain experience to add value to their CV, benefitting their career prospects.

Task Under the guidance and coordination of a school teacher (English language teacher), the language assistants will help the teacher in his programme, support oral exercises and share with students aspects of their culture. They will be the key to enhance the learning process of students learning English.

Period 25 hours per week from Monday to Friday, during school period from October to June (nine months).

Participants will receive Host family accommodation: Free room and full board (Meals, private room, internet connection, caring family...) Free transport from home to school and from school to home A guidance tutor, to help and look after their welfare during their stay Free Spanish online lessons with a native teacher. Summer Web Assistants for OC Communications

Need a summer job with potential to work in the fall?

The Office of Communications is seeking student web assistants to provide production support for the overall Oberlin College website using its new content management system: Drupal.

You'll build and create pages, update content, troubleshoot, assist with web development and customer support, and complete content production duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Web savvy with the ability to adapt, learn, and use web-based tools and applications

• Availability to report to work at least 10 hours per week during business hours

• Desire and ability to interact professionally with administration, faculty, and staff

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus

Summer Positions at Kendal at Oberlin

Kendal at Oberlin, a retirement center located at the north end of the city of Oberlin is seeking seasonal landscape workers. Duties will be diverse and include lawn mowing, tree and garden care, removal of exotic plants and wetland restoration. Work will be the primary goal although it’s fair to say that it also can be a learning experience for workers. Full time employment (40hr./week) can begin as soon as mid May and continue into the fall on a part time basis. The hourly rate will be $10.00/hr. No benefits. Candidates must be 18 years or older, physically fit and willing to get wet and dirty.
