K-12 Tutor Available (+sitter, music teacher)

I am a third year student attending Oberlin College majoring in Gender, Sexuality and Feminist Studies. I have worked for several tutoring programs including WAVE and American Reads both located here in Oberlin. I am currently a one-on-one literacy tutor at prospect through America Reads, though I would like to start privately tutoring on my own time!

Experience: - literacy tutor for K-5 -algebra tutor 5-9th grades -camp counselor at the FAVA art camps -activity assistant for SummerKids program in Minnesota -private music lessons (songwriting, cello, ukulele) -babysitter for 7 years

Rates: $10/hr for babysitting (add +2 for an additional child) $12-15/hr for tutoring or music lessons depending on age and needs of the child.

I am available to tutor after 4:30 on weekdays and any time on weekends. I am also available for morning sessions if your child is homeschooled/not school aged. Rates and times are negotiable. The City of Oberlin Clerk of Council’s Office is accepting applications for a Part-Time Clerk of Council’s Assistant. General duties consist of providing clerical and administrative support to the Clerk of Council and members of Council, as directed, and performing duties of the Clerk as needed or directed. The position requires performing routine office procedures including photocopying, faxing, collating, transcribing minutes, distributing documentation, and other duties performed by the Clerk’s office.

Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three (3) years’ of previous experience in a similar position including clerical duties and customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the skills and abilities necessary to perform the job.

Special Requirements: The position requires a valid State of Ohio driver’s license. All offers of employment are contingent on a successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS SUPERINTENDENT

The City of Oberlin is accepting applications for the Buildings & Grounds Superintendent position in the Buildings & Grounds Division of the Public Works Department. Duties include the supervision of division personnel in the planning, construction, repair, operations and maintenance of various City facilities and grounds, parks and recreation fields. The Superintendent performs various administrative duties, assists the Public Works Director in strategic planning for the division, and provides additional support to the Public Works Director as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five (5) years of previous experience in a related position involving direct supervisory responsibilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the skills and abilities necessary to perform the job. The position requires a valid state of Ohio driver's license.

Salary Range: $49,085 - $83,675/Year D.O.Q.
