Expedited Network Maintenance - May 12, 7:30 AM - Kohl Basement and First Floor

On Friday, May 12 at 7:30 AM, networking staff will replace the UPS in the basement of the Kohl Building. This replacement had been scheduled for June, but due to a failed battery the maintenance window has been moved up. This will require a brief outage of ALL wired and wireless network connections in the basement and first floor of Kohl. The maintenance will be completed by 8:00 AM.
If you're having problems connecting to the network after the period mentioned above, please restart your computer or mobile device.

Update (05/12/17 8:06 AM): The switch was offline from 7:31 until 7:40.
We received a call from security at 7:45 regarding an alarm in Kohl basement, and it became clear that the brief outage of the switch had caused an alarm for the company that monitors the special collections door.
In the future, we will ensure S&S is notified of any planned network outages affecting Kohl basement.
