Office of Communications Seeks Editorial Fellow

The Office of Communications invites graduating seniors to apply for its editorial fellowship. The position is a full-time 12-month Administrative and Professional Staff (A&PS) position beginning July 1, 2016.
The editorial fellow will primarily generate content for the News Center, the news hub of the oberlin.edu website. The fellow will also write and edit press releases, edit the work of other communications staffers, maintain ties with student media editors, attend Convocations, and mentor two to three student writers. Other administrative tasks may be assigned.
Ideal applicants have excellent writing ability, strong verbal and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to research a variety of topics quickly and thoroughly. Previous news writing experience is preferred. Candidates will be expected to possess a strong work ethic, personal initiative, superlative attention to detail, and a sense of humor.
