Nominations for Student Excellence in Community-based Learning Award Due April 13
March 4, 2016
The General Faculty Committee on Community Based Learning (CBL) invites all faculty and staff to nominate students for the Daniel Gardner Award for Student Excellence in Community-based Learning. The award is designed to honor a student who demonstrates interdisciplinary problem solving, exemplary civic engagement, and enhanced understanding of course content as applied to real life situations.
All graduating students in good academic standing who are enrolled in the college or conservatory and were engaged in a minimum of one CBL course are eligible for the award. Faculty and staff can nominate a student using the form on the Bonner Center for Service and Learning (BCSL) website. All nominations must be submitted no later than April 13.
The General Faculty Committee on CBL will review nominations and select the student who best exemplifies excellence in community based learning 10 days from the last submission date. The student selected for the award will be presented with a $200 prize during the BCSL Year End Celebration.
