Register to Vote in Ohio Now! Deadline is Feb. 16

The deadline to register to vote in Ohio is February 16. Find voter registration forms online at MyOhioVote.com or in in the Science library. (Ask to speak with Science Librarian Alison Ricker if all forms are gone.) You must re-register if you have moved since the last time you voted.

Mail completed forms to the Lorain County Board of Elections (address below) no later than the morning of Saturday, February 13. Forms can also be hand-delivered 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Lorain County Board of Elections is approximately 20 minutes from campus.

Why is the Ohio primary important?

While many other states will hold their primary election before Ohio, their delegates are awarded on a proportional basis. Ohio’s March 15 primary marks the first day that states can award all of their delegates to the top vote-getters in each party (“winner take all” state).
