The Office of Communications is Hiring Writers (& More!)

The Office of Communications is accepting applications for student writer and blogger positions.
Student writers report to Editorial Fellow Kasey Cheydleur ’15 and write three to four stories for the News Center per semester. Writers are expected to contribute story ideas, conduct interviews, submit work in a timely fashion, and openly discuss edits with the office media relations team. Student bloggers report to Ma’Ayan Plaut ’10, manager of social strategy and projects, and write approximately six blogs per semester. Bloggers are expected to attend group brainstorming sessions, submit work in a timely fashion, and discuss edits. To find more information and apply for this job, see the Oberlin Blogs.
Journalism or extracurricular writing experience is recommended but not required for these positions. Ideal candidates have a passion for storytelling and are eager to share the best of Oberlin with prospective students.
