AUDITIONS - Oberlin College Choir and Treble Ensemble 2014-2015: All College and Conservatory students welcome

The choral ensembles at Oberlin have a rich tradition reaching back to the 1837 founding of the Oberlin Musical Union. Since then the Oberlin College Choir has been internationally recognized as one of the elite collegiate choruses in the world, and the Oberlin Treble Ensemble is quickly becoming one of the top women's choruses in the nation. Audition this fall to become a part of this legacy!
Fall 2014 audition schedule:
Friday, Aug. 29, 9am-12pm, 2-5pm Saturday, Aug. 30, 9am-12pm, 2-5pm Sunday, Aug. 31, 2-5pm Tuesday, Sept. 2, 10am-12pm, 2-5pm, 6-9pm
A sign-up sheet is currently posted on the door of Bibbins 219. Singers auditioning will be considered for placement into either the Oberlin College Choir (MWF, 4:30-6pm), or Treble Ensemble (TTH, 4:30-6pm). For non-voice majors the auditions will consist of vocal exercises, light sight reading, and musicianship exercises.
Repertoire for fall will include works by Poston, Hassler, Mealor, Lauridsen, Gjeilo, and Mozart's Requiem with the Oberlin Musical Union and Oberlin Arts and Sciences Orchestra.
