Jan. 17, 2014
The offices of Safety and Security and Environmental Health and Safety are continuing programming during this Winter Term in sponsoring on-campus training and skills practice in the area of an Emergency Planning Focus: Violent Incident Strategies—Shots Fired on Campus. This is a narrow-focus training to learn to apply strategies for personal survival wherever you are, prior to police arrival in response to a violent incident or active shooter on campus. The skills are applicable to use in the workplace, office, classroom or campus setting, as well as other settings common to daily life.
Each 2-hour session addresses skills relating to College building, office or classroom. While these announced sessions are general information and skills, specific trainings for specific departments, or departments collectively housed in specific buildings, and/or site visits to meet further may also be arranged in follow-up for your area.
