Snow and Dangerous Cold Advisory

Jan. 5, 2014

The National Weather Service in Cleveland is predicting cold Arctic air and falling temperatures that will affect our area with dangerously cold wind chills from Sunday, January 5 through Wednesday, January 8. Please visit www.weather.gov/cle or utilize information and updates broadcast through local television and radio newscasts for the latest watches, warnings, and advisories.

With low wind-chill temperatures, be aware of steps you can take to keep safe: dress in layers and/or heed advice to limit exposure of bare skin to cold temperatures, recognize symptoms and treatment of exposure to adverse affects of extreme cold or frostbite. Wind chill values below -25 can result in adverse effects within a short period of time. Consumption of alcohol can increase the severity of adverse effects of low wind chill values.

The Office of Safety and Security offers support and response to reports from the community. Please call 440-775-8444 to make a report or request assistance.
