New Year New Me Seeks Volunteers for January 2014
Dec. 10, 2013
The Office of Wellness is seeking volunteer mentors (faculty/staff) for New Year, New Me (NYNM) taking place during the month of January 2014. The NYNM program is designed to help faculty and staff work together either to build a strong foundation for their health-related New Year resolutions or to recommit to their existing fitness and wellness regimes. The program runs from January 6 through January 31, 2014 Fitness and wellness mentors, all members of the Oberlin College community (faculty/staff), make themselves available to their colleagues throughout the month-long program by volunteering to help others get involved with a fitness or wellness activity during the new year. Mentors aren’t “experts” but are individuals who already adhere to personal wellness practices. Interests can include walking, running, yoga, swimming, organic cooking, healthy eating, etc. The time you devote as a mentor is up to you – from a one-time commitment to weekly meetings. The goal of The Office of Wellness is to increase wellness and health promotion programs and services for the campus community. If you would like to be a mentor or want more information about volunteering, email firstname.lastname@example.org by this Friday, December 13th.
