dotCMS Upgrade Project Completed

To: Web Content Administrators and Contributors

The dotCMS upgrade project for oberlin.edu is complete; however, we may still need to customize and make modifications as needed to better serve the campus community.

If you have been a web content administrator or contributor—making updates to department and or office websites—please do the following:

· Log in to new.oberlin.edu/c/ with the same username and password as before.

· The top of your screen should display three tabs: Home, Website, Content.

· Select the Website tab to display the folder(s) related to your department and or office under the heading of Sites and Folders.

· If you don't see your department and or office displayed, OR or if you see other folders unrelated to your department and or office, send an e-mail to webteam@oberlin.edu with “CMS” in the subject line. Include your name and department(s) and or office(s) to which you are affiliated.

Note: The CMS work area looks basically the same as the former instance; some tabs or buttons may appear in different areas.

Newly assigned web content administrators and contributors: you may log in to the CMS at new.oberlin.edu/c/ with your Oberlin username and password (e.g. OC Mail), to activate your account. Send an e-mail to webteam@oberlin.edu with “CMS” in the subject line. Include your name and department(s) and or office(s) to which you are affiliated.

Beginning October 2, we will provide a series of training sessions for persons new to the CMS, as well as drop-in sessions for returning users. We will post these session on the Oberlin Events Calendar.

We appreciate your patience through this system-wide upgrade process. Please note any unusual problems you encounter with the system to Kesha Williams, web project services manager.
