Arts & Sciences Orchestra Auditions

The recently founded Arts & Sciences Orchestra (OASO) will hold auditions over the Labor Day weekend. Auditions are required for prospective new members, and optional (though recommended) for 2012-13 members.
Repertoire for OASO's second season includes Schubert's 'Unfinished' Symphony, the Grieg Piano Concerto featuring faculty soloist Robert Shannon, an all-Russian program with works by Mussorgsky, Liadov, Rachmaninov, and Ippolitov-Ivanov, and collaborations with the Musical Union and Oberlin College Choir as part of an all-Beethoven concert.
The audition schedule is as follows: Incoming students -- Friday, Aug. 30, 2:00-6:00 (Bibbins 108) Saturday, Aug. 31, 1:00-5:00 (Bibbins 108) Sunday, Sept. 1, 1:00-5:00 (Bibbins 108) Returning students, community, and staff -- Monday, Sept. 1, 10:00-1:00 and 2:00-5:00 (Bibbins 108) Percussion only (new and returning students) -- Monday, Sept. 1, 6:40-7:40 (Central 25)
