April 1-12 Book Drive Benefits Low-Income Lorain County Families
March 30, 2013
Leadership Lorain County Best Class of 2013 is collecting new and gently used books suitable for children and adults, ages 5 and up. The books will be offered to patients of Lorain County Health and Dentistry (LCH&D )—children and their families—to keep for their very own at new patient visits and yearly physicals.
The most successful way to improve the reading achievement of low‐income children is to increase their access to books, yet patients of LCH&D cannot afford to purchase books and often have limited access to libraries. Help us provide young people and their families the resources needed to succeed by donating books you loved as a child.
The book drive runs Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 12. Drop off points are the main library in Mudd Center and the science library in the Science Center.
