Transition to New Events Calendar. Do Not Post Events after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1.
Feb. 27, 2013
The Office of Communications has been working with a third-party vendor to change the college’s calendaring system to a comprehensive, user-friendly events calendar system called Localist. The switchover will take place Saturday, March 2.
Do not post any events to the current Events Calendar at new.oberlin.edu/ calendar/ after 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1. All events entered prior to and including March 1 should transfer to the new system.
On Monday, March 4, you can view the new calendar by clicking on any of the calendar links you already use, including the Events Calendar tab on the Oberlin OnCampus website. Faculty, staff, and students also may begin using the calendar by logging in with their Oberlin IDs and passwords.
More details about the calendar’s features and instructions on how to use it will be posted Monday on Oberlin OnCampus. In the meantime, you can learn more about the new calendar at www.localist.com and check out schools that presently use Localist, including Johns Hopkins, Cornell, and Georgetown.
