Election Day Parking Notice Philips Lot
Nov. 2, 2012
Oberlin College is supporting the November Election by providing polling locations in Philips and parking in Philips lot. Philips staff should plan on parking on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the east staff row of Woodland Lot North (instead of Philips lot or on the street near Philips) If the east row fills, staff can use the west row nearest the tennis courts. (Rec Center patrons can park in the north staff double row of Philips and on the city streets.) Voter entry is via the Presidential Walkway only (not cutting through Philips); staff and rec center patrons should use the Philips lobby entrances as usual.
Philips lot will close at midnight on Monday, November 5, to allow Philips lot to be cleared for short term voter parking. Voters and poll workers will use the south three staff rows (1 single row and 1 double row.) Rec Center members and voters can use the next staff double row for short term parking. Students with resident “X” permits may remain in the north double student parking row (yellow lined spaces), and the northernmost staff parking remains available for staff. Custodians working Monday night and parked in Philips can stay (“A” permits) as they leave before polls open.
Please help us support voter access by parking in the designated areas for Tuesday Election Day.
