That Other Number: Fingerstick Blood Glucose Test

Do you know if you are at risk for diabetes? According to the American Diabetes Association African American, Latino (a) and Asian American and Native American populations have the highest risk for the development of diabetes.

Get a free fingerstick blood sugar test by Student Health on Wednesday, February 29, from 9:00am until 11:00am in Lord/Saunders, the Afrikan Heritage House.

Ideally you should get tested before you have breakfast (fasting blood glucose) or at least two hours after your start eating your last meal (postprandial) .

This service is free and is open students, faculty and staff.
